The Story Behind the Journeys

About Breathspiration

Andrea Fórizs, Founder

I was six months old on my first international trip. I don't remember it, but it set the direction for everything that followed: a childhood and adulthood spent in motion, across more than 55 countries, always curious about what a place looks like once you get past the surface of it — the people, the history, the food, the objects someone chose to put on their table.

That curiosity has a professional backbone. I hold a degree in Business Administration and a Master's in Interior Design, studied in England, Spain and Hungary, and spent years in corporate marketing and sales before turning my full attention to Breathspiration. Along the way I've picked up other pursuits that shaped how I see a place — scuba diving instructor training in Egypt and Mallorca among them — but it's the combination of business rigor and a designer's eye that actually guides every trip I plan. I look at a retreat, a journey or an offsite the way I'd look at a room: what belongs here, what's unnecessary, and how does the whole thing hold together.

"In an increasingly globalized world, where every city risks looking like the last one, I go looking for what's still specific to a place, and I build experiences around that, not around a generic version of 'luxury.'"

What draws me to this work, more than anything, is people. I like sitting with a winemaker who's run the same vineyard for four generations, or a craftsman who still works by hand in a world that's stopped asking him to. I'm an enthusiast of architecture, art and gastronomy because they're some of the clearest ways a place tells you who it is — and because understanding the world, one destination at a time, is genuinely what I care about.

None of this happens alone. Over more than a decade, I've built a wide network of professionals, collaborators and artisans at every destination we work in — local guides, chefs, venue owners, drivers, makers, people who know their corner of the world better than any guidebook ever could. Human connections are what make a trip trustworthy, and they're what I invest in before I invest in anything else.

Mallorca, 2013

I founded Breathspiration on the belief that travel done properly should change something in you, and that changing something in you takes more than a nice hotel. It takes local expertise, cultural fluency, and someone who has done the legal and logistical work long before you arrive.

Breathspiration is a licensed travel agency based in Mallorca, with full insurance and regulatory standing behind every trip we design. Our roots and deepest expertise are Mediterranean, built over more than a decade of on-the-ground relationships across the region. But the same approach travels well. Wherever a studio, a private client or a company wants to go, we plan it with the same standards: local relationships over generic listings, and craft over spectacle.

Who We Work With

Yoga Teachers & Studio Owners

I become the operational backbone of your retreat — venue sourcing, budgeting, logistics, catering, staffing and fee collection — so your name stays on the experience and the risk stays off your desk. You teach. I run the business behind it.

Private Clients

For those seeking a bespoke journey — in the Mediterranean or beyond — I design trips around your interests, pace and privacy, drawing on relationships and locations that don't appear in a standard itinerary. Every detail — from the villa to the boat to the chef — is chosen, not defaulted to.

Corporate Teams & Leadership Groups

Offsites succeed or fail on execution. I plan and manage corporate retreats and team offsites anywhere in the world with the same rigor I'd apply to any business function: clear objectives, tight logistics, measurable outcomes, and an environment that genuinely supports focus, connection and recovery — not just a change of scenery.

Why Breathspiration

Every project is built on the same four principles: authenticity over spectacle, sustainability as a baseline rather than a marketing line, refined design in every physical detail, and direct, accountable ownership of logistics from first call to final departure. I don't outsource the parts that matter.

Off the clock, you'll usually find me exploring Mallorca itself — sailing a restored traditional llaüt boat, wandering a local market, or at a table with people who know the island better than any guidebook does. That proximity matters. I don't design experiences from behind a desk; I walk the routes, vet the venues, and know the people behind them myself.
